|Jennifer Moore's fun scarf tie|
It's no secret that we love scarves at BeWeave It headquarters. They can easily be both decorative AND practical, which of course means it's quite hard to own too many. After all, it's important to have many different scarves in a variety of colors and thicknesses so you'll be adequately prepared no matter what the weather or the palette of your outfit.
Of course, as many scarves as you might own, it's easy to get stuck in a rut when it comes to how you wear it. Most of us know the basics—throw it over the shoulder or double it up and pull the ends through the loop—but just as we wrote about shawls, there are many ways to wear a scarf. If you're looking for new ideas and inspiration to wear scarves of any shape or size, the Knot Library at the website Scarves Dot Net probably has what you're after.
Unlike some other fashions we've highlighted in BeWeave It, men are not exempt. So if you or a male in your life needs a little help styling scarves, we highly suggest this video on how modern men can tie their scarves in a way that is both warm and dapper. In fact, we could see a young Cary Grant wearing any of these styles in one of his classic films. We especially like that most of these tips are designed to be worn with a nice winter jacket or overcoat.
And of course, we can't mention tying scarves without mentioning this wonderful video featuring doubleweaver extraordinaire Jennifer Moore from the 2010 Convergence, where she teaches you how to tie your scarf into a simple braid.
