I am working on a project using alpaca silk blend and a wool. Both are lace weight and measured on a ruler the count is correct for a ten point heddle. Some of the weft threads slip on the warp creating an uneven look. I have a video so you can see my project. Could someone help me with it? All comments would be appreciated. I am new and this is my first project using lace weight.
This is the link for the YouTube video showing my work.

What a great video! It really is amazing to be able to share problems in this way.
OK, I think the sett is too loose for that yarn. Alpaca and silk are also both pretty slippery. What did you mean that the count is correct for a sett of 10 ends per inch? When you wrap a ruler, what happens?
The camera is not quite close enough to tell what your weft sett is. I bet it is not ten weft threads per inch, which is what it would need to be for a balanced plain weave.
I think you are doing everything right, it's just that the yarn is fine and slippery and needs a closer sett!

Madelyn,
Thanks for the help. I do think that the sett is to loose. I did wrap the yarn around a ruler and came out with 20 ends per inch which when divided by two is ten but it is just too loose.
I didn't know that you should have the same number of ends per inch on the weft so I measured it. It varries quite a bit due to the slipping . Sme places it is 12 and other places it is as high as 18 ends pr inch on the piece that I have woven. I don't know what to do with it at this point. Any suggestions?
I have made other scarfs with thicker yarn. This is my first lace yarn project. I will be purchasing another heddle in the future. Maybe I'll buy another 10 so that I can double weave. Do two 10 heddles require a 40ends per inch yarn which divided by two is the 20?
Thanks for the compliment on the use of the video. I thought that a picture would be worth a thousand words.
