I’m a Swedish relative of Margaret Bergman. My grandfather was her brother. Now we are going to set up an exhibition of Margaret Bergman in her hometown in Sweden. We would like to weave up something from her patterns. I wonder if it is possible to buy some of her patterns. There is a book called "Bergman Weaving Patterns from Northwest Weavers 1941-1942". Were can I buy this book or copies from it?

Hello Margareta,

I don't know where you can buy the book mentioned, but I would suggest you contact the Seattle Weavers Guild. Apparently Margaret helped to found the guild, and so I wouldn't be surprised if they had some of her patterns or knew where you could get them. The guild also co-curated a museum exhibit featuring weaving by Margaret so I wouldn't be surprised if they had quite a bit they could share with you.

The guild's website is http://www.seattleweaversguild.com and you can email them at info@seattleweaversguild.com.

I hope this helps!

Christina
