I couldn't find that article in the Handwoven magazine. All I found was a picture of Ruby Leslie's vest in one of Daryl's articles. Didn't know it was a PDF doc, but would be interested if you or anyone locates it.

I haven't tried any others yet. I was going to try the ducape but ran out of warp to play with. My neighbor is about to have a baby, so I think I will try the bumberet as a baby carrier blanket -- using the sock yarn.

Hi Holly! Your samples look great. There seem to be a lot of possibilities for this weave. I'm thinking of black with shades of pinks for a vest. Will try it when I have a loom free. Maybe this weekend. Have you tried any of the other weaves in the Hargrove manuscript?

Here are my bumberet samples. All used an 8/2 cotton warp that I had on my loom. The colors were threaded randomly for the original project, so it doesn't show off the weave structure as it potentially could. My first bumberet! I created log cabin sort of blocks by reversing the colors in the threading and by reversing the tie-up.
