Magazine corrections from 1999 through the current issue. Last updated 10/17/2014.
I am looking at the instructions for the Ripsmatte Table Runner in Nov/Dec 1987. pg 60 & pg I-15. I am pretty sure that the tie-up on the draft is wrong. I think that treadle 4 should be shafts 2 & 4 (not 1 & 3). Can someone confirm this for me?
Also, how do I find errata for pre-1999 Handwoven? (I downloaded the 99-current one from the website)
Thank you, Mary
I figured out what I was doing wrong, but I still would like to know how to locate the old errata information.
For pre-1999 errata, download the Subject Index, 1979-2004. If it is organized like the printed copy, the issue with published errata for an article is listed underneath the entry for the article.
Could someone tell me how to submit a correction? I can't seem to find any contact information on the site. Thank you

In the current issue in the article by Susan Foulkes, Patterned Bands from the Sámi Weaving Tradition, on page 39, there is a
way to view the pattern that includes four coded squares, two of which have a dot in the center. The red-dotted squares are to show the "Pattern thread in upper layer that stays there for pattern," and the other, just below it, says the white-dotted squares show the "Pattern thread in upper layer that is pushed down for pattern." I don't see dots in any of the squares. What am I not
I'm looking for the file with the current corrections but am not seeing any files linked on this page. Should I be looking somewhere else?
. Apparently this errata compendium does NOT contain all the errata known by editors of Handwoven, and instead errors from the magazine contine to be published, at least in one ebook. I just read, "Today I was looking at a pattern in Interweave's ebook, Twills on Four Shafts, and found a treadling error on page 5 in the article Advancing Twills. The original article was published in the M/A 2001 Handwoven, pg 46-49 with the same error and they published the correction in the N/D 2001 magazine, pg 15. They didn't correct it in the ebook though. The threading is correct and the treadling should be the same as the threading."
As as a very beginner/new weaver, I am disappointed and irritated. I just purchased the ebook and can try to guess how to fix the error, but am not certain. So now I am really confused and am debating asking for my money back. I accept that mistakes happen, but I assumed that ebooks based on previously published and vetted material would be error-free. So, now I have an ebook that was never corrected to fix the error. And a collection of old errata that is not a complete set of errata that is known of by Interweave. ...talk about errors compounding errors...
